Straight out of Las Vegas, came a band crashing into the emocore scene in the early 2000's: Escape The Fate.
Lead by singer Ronnie Radke, Escape The Fate delivers amazing melodies and electrifying screams with raw emotional force, and prides itself in bringing an energetic live show to its fans and onlookers.
The band came randomly together through MySpace when Ronnie and Max Green were looking for new band members after their prior group abruptly fell apart.
On the popular website, they soon found guitarist Bryan Money, who subsequently brought in Vegas transplant and guitarist Omar Espinosa (ex- Lovehatehero ).
Friend and drummer Robert Ortiz joined on to complete the group. Debuting live barely a month later, the guys found early success on local radio and quickly amassed a devoted hometown following. By September 2005 , they had won a local radio contest judged by My Chemical Romance, which awarded them the opportunity to open a show on the band's current headlining tour with Alkaline Trio and Reggie and the Full Effect .
They then signed to Epitaph Records . Their debut five-song EP, There's No Sympathy for the Dead, appeared in May 2006 . Tour dates through the summer followed including several dates on the Warped Tour.
Smartpunk.com gives their album a rating of 5 out of 5.
Escape the Fate's first full length album Dying Is Your Latest Fashion came out on September 26th, 2006.
As of September 12th 2006, the lead Singer Ronnie Radke was reported to have left the band. The band had this to say on their Myspace page:
"As of today, Ronnie Radke is officially no longer a member of Escape the Fate. We feel that in order for the band to move forward, the only possible way, will have to be without him. The reasons as to why are very personal. Just know that we still love him and we wish him all the best of luck in the future."
Although the band wanted to keep their reasons private, it was widely known that Radke had a heroin problem and had put himself in rehab.
However, on November 6th 2006, the band released a new blog on Myspace stating that Ronnie is back. Ronnie also posted a blog on his MySpace explaining his absence and describing his new love for life.
